Date Night Dressing

Dress, Top & Shoes - Zara | Bag - Givenchy

Sunday night was date night for my boyfriend and I as we celebrated six years together...

I bought this dress a while ago and it's kind of my go to when I can't find anything else to wear. It's perfect for layering up, whether that's a blouse, t-shirt or lace bra - they all work. As it was a Sunday night I wanted to keep it simple so ditched my usual statement earrings and swapped heels for leather sliders - which of course I am completely obsessed with. Any form of sliders are definitely my preferred choice of shoe and after seeing these I couldn't resist (well Joe couldn't resist) in adding them to my collection.

Floral Embroidery

Dress - Zara | Shoes - Asos | Bag - Valentino | Earrings - Cos

Floral embroidery - not something I thought I would be wearing anytime soon but, since Gucci has ensured it will be a huge trend over the next few months, I haven't been able to keep away. As always Zara are bang on trend and have some perfect pieces that incorporate just enough detailing. This dress is new season and is currently my favourite item in my wardrobe. I love the red embroidery against the simple black background and gold accessories set it of perfectly.. I have linked a few alternative embroidered items below!

OOTD

Topshop Camel Coat | The Kooples Jeans | Primark T-shirt | River Island Ankle Boots | Missguided Sunglasses | Zara Bag

I am forever buying new clothes but I have a terrible habit of wearing the same outfit day in, day out (I'm sure many of you can relate!!) My daily uniform usually consists of a black t-shirt and jeans - it's just too easy to fall back on when nothing else will do. However, this otherwise boring combo is the perfect base layer for a statement coat and accessories to match. At first glance, the 'neck scarf' was not a trend I thought I would be trying however, after one attempt at wearing it I was hooked and I'm now a huge fan. I love how it adds a sophisticated edge to any simple outfit.

Layering Winter Neutrals

Mango Jumper | River Island Leather Culottes | Zara Sleeveless Jacket | River Island Boots | Zara Bag

Nothing beats layering in winter, especially when the weather is getting colder by the day. My wardrobe consists of little colour, and when I do decide to inject life into my outfits I definitely favour neutral tones. I bought this grey long-line waist coat over two years ago now (I have linked shop-able alternatives below) and I still love it just as much as I did the day I bought it. It can be worn over pretty much anything and is the perfect alternative to a winter coat (if worn with layers of course). As most of you will know, culottes are always a good idea in my eyes, whether they are layered up in winter or worn with a crop top in summer - I'm a huge fan. These thick leather culottes are a great option for colder days, and when paired with these AMAZING leather lace up boots, they make the perfect winter combo.

P.S. Look out for my bespoke bedroom prints coming soon!

Autumn Wishlist

The cooler air and darker nights are setting in, yep it's beginning to look (and feel) a lot like autumn. New season trends are filling the high street and the temptation for a new autumn wardrobe is hard to resist. But, currently being unemployed (thankfully this is soon to end as I've managed to get myself a part time job at River Island) means that my autumn wardrobe will remain in the form of a wishlist for a little while longer yet.

Here are a FEW of my favourite pieces for this season (the real list is never ending)...

Black Staples

Culottes - H&M
Top - Zara
Leather Jacket - Mango
Boots - H&M
Clutch Bag - Whistles

Culottes are a staple in my wardrobe and I love layering up black on black, so this outfit is probably one of my favourites. These culottes from H&M are great, the tailored fit means they are ideal for dressing up but are also relaxed enough to dress down. I wore them with my BARGAIN leather jacket from Mango, the style is very similar to one I had my eye on from Whistles however was a fraction of the price. Snakeskin will forever be my favourite print, so there's no surprise that I fell in love with these boots - H&M is very hit and miss but I can't get enough of it lately.
