Crisp Whites and Ripped Skinnies

White Shirt - Cos
Skinny Jeans - American Apparel
Sunglasses - Prada
Clutch - M&S
Sandals -New Look

I had planned to post this blog at the start of the week however with assessment deadlines and one of the busiest weeks I have had in a long time, I am only just getting round to putting my feet up and getting myself sorted.

I'm a huge fan of monochrome and I probably always will be. It's simple but chic and is always present in both spring/summer and autumn/winter catwalks. Plus I like to think i'm channeling my inner Victoria Beckham (I wish). For this outfit I did a little borrowing from my sister AND Nan! The shirt I stole from my sister, the material is beautiful and the fit is perfect. The pleats at the front add a little something extra to just a plain white shirt. The snakeskin clutch is my Nan's (it's surprising what hidden treasures that grandparents have). I'm obsessed with snakeskin lately and after looking everywhere for a bag to match a pair of shoes for a wedding I had last night, my Nan got in the car with the perfect match. The sandals were also quite a surprise find. I had been meaning to get a pair of Birkenstock's when I saw this white pair in a magazine, and after seeing they were a third of the price of everywhere else, I had to try them!

L'Oreal Wild Ombre Preference

L'Oreal Wild Ombre Preference - Boots £6.99

For quite some time now I have wanted my hair lightened however after a very traumatic experience with a hairdresser and a ridiculously short fringe (for those very few who are aware of this I take it you will understand) I have been extremely cautious when making any drastic changes. I had seen the home ombre kits advertised on TV but hadn't heard much about them -however thought I would try it anyway. And if I didn't like it, I only had myself to blame.

Originally I didn't want a dip dye, I just wanted to brush the dye through my hair to lighten it. However it seems to be too easy when dying hair to get slightly carried away and in the end I was left with a dip dye - good job I liked it. Just like a normal dye, it comes in different shades for different hair colours. (I decided on 'Ombre N.2' for dark blonde to medium brown) The application is so easy to use, you simply comb the dye through the desired lengths with the brush provided and leave it on for 25-40 minutes. The lighter you want it the longer you leave it. I must say it fades quickly but for £6.99 I would highly recommend.

S'all about Zara

Dress - Zara
Trench Coat - Zara
Necklace - Zara
Sandals - Zara

Buying from one place and one place only. We are all guilty of it, aren't we? And it's only until you look down and think about what you are wearing that you realise this. I think I have made it pretty clear that i'm a huge fan of Zara. To be perfectly honest it's become somewhat of a habit to shop there and it is probably about time for me to step out of my comfort zone and shop around. However the truth is, no where else grabs my attention at the minute the way that Zara does (of course if I had the money then i'm pretty sure a lot more places would grab my attention) but for now, it's good enough for me.

I love romantic tailoring and Zara is perfect for this. I've been meaning to blog about my trench coat for a while now as I practically live in it - its the perfect cover up when transitioning from a winter to summer wardrobe. The blue dress is something I would not usually go for (I try to steer clear of things that make me look younger having such a baby face and all) however loved the cut of the neck line so thought I would try something different. My recent shoe addiction saw me buy these beauties - I love the chunky buckle and heel. Perfect for everyday wear throughout the summer.

Birthday Suit

Culottes - Zara
Top - Topshop
Court Heels - Topshop
Messenger Bag - Zara
Watch - Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses - Prada

So yesterday I said goodbye to my teenage years as I finally turned 20. Ever since I can remember my sister and I have shared our birthdays as Maisie's is the day before mine - strange I know. This year it was decided that we were to go out on my birthday, which I was particularly pleased about as it seems we always go out on Maisie's birthday (of course she will disagree). We enjoyed a lovely meal at Ego in Lichfield and with the weather finally deciding to get its act together, made the evening even more enjoyable.

As for my outfit, I am completely obsessed with culottes at the moment; they are elegant, chic and bang on trend. I had this white pair for my birthday - I also have them in dusky pink - and are just so comfy to wear. I kept my outfit simple by teaming it with a black cami and white court heels. The weather being as nice as it was gave me the perfect excuse to wear my new sunglasses that my wonderful boyfriend had bought me for my birthday. They are everything and more!

Kate Moss For Topshop

Dress - Kate Moss for Topshop
Shoes - Aldo

At last, the highly anticipated collection we have all been waiting for has arrived...

Last week saw super model and style icon Kate Moss launch her new collection for Topshop. Inspired by her renowned vintage wardrobe and standout pieces from collections past, Kate's new line was an obvious hit. The collection had the ultimate boho vibe and some pieces are simply stunning. However, don't get me wrong - i'm a huge fan of Kate - but the collection as a whole was kinda disappointing. I don't quite know why, but I felt it was missing that certain something. This being said, I instantly fell in love with this dress. Many of the pieces sold out over night online, much to my frustration, including THE ONLY dress I wanted. So after days of checking online I received a phone call from my fabulous friends who had found the dress in store and kindly purchased it for me.

The over-sized cut and embroidered prints are simply perfect for this years festival season. It can be easily accessorized but looks great worn plain too. At £75 it's not cheap however will definitely be put to good use throughout the summer making its debut at firstly Parklife followed by Ibiza (expect posts in the near future for these).

Check out the rest of Kate Moss' collection here

Enjoy!

'Festival Fix'

Check out my latest article to be published on The Trent Tab... http://trent.tab.co.uk/2014/05/07/festival-fix/

So my blog has had a face lift...

Ok so my blog has had a face lift - and I promise it's the last time. I am AWFUL at technology, so it may look simple however creating this blog has taken me forever. I have been meaning to change my blog from WordPress to Blogspot for quite some time, the main reason being it's easier for you readers to follow me on Bloglovin. (If you use Bloglovin, follow me via the link to the left) It's also generally a lot cleaner looking!

Enjoy!

New Week, New Start - AGAIN

Black Top - Topshop
Jeans - Asos
Court Heels - Primark

After realising how long it had been since I last blogged, I thought a post was now seriously over due...

However, I have decided to change things up a bit. After starting out solely as a fashion and beauty blog, I now appreciate the time and effort that goes into the high end fashion blogs I look up too and follow. To perfect everything you post is extremely time consuming and recently, time really is flying by. So from now on I'm going to try something a little different - fashion still in the forefront of course -  but I'd like to incorporate a few day to day lifestyle choices etccc. I hope this means I have a more constant flow of posts and updates.

So, being a bank holiday Monday, I had some time on my hands. AND due to the fact it's my birthday next week, I have been going a little crazy ordering my own presents (as you do). I'm a big fan of ripped jeans, and after living in black jeans for the entire winter, I thought I needed some light injecting into my wardrobe. These high waisted slim mom jeans from Asos are a perfect combination of both the mom and skinny jean - and are so so comfy. Anything off the shoulder I just love, so couldn't resist this top - perfect for a summers evening.

Whistles Runway Spring/Summer '14

Whistles latest collection is my new obsession for this coming season (and after watching their Autumn/Winter showcase from London Fashion Week it will also be my winter obsession). Over the past few months pastels have taken over, making it hard to distinguish one collection from another. Powder pinks and baby blues can often get lost against a wardrobe of previous season's daring detail and bold colours. However Whistles have created the perfect combination of femininity mixed with structured tailoring that definitely makes a statement. Tad pricey but definitely worth the investment. Enjoy!

Little Black Heels

       Black Court Heels - Primark

It never ceases to amaze me the bargains that you can stumble upon in Primark. For me, its a last resort when everywhere else fails to satisfy and my bank account is not looking too healthy. And every time I do go in I cannot resist bagging myself a bargain (even if 99% of the time it is a pair of heels). After wading through 10 inch wedges and nasty looking plimsolls, I came across these beauties. They are so easy to wear and are surprisingly comfortable. Lets face it, at £10 they were practically giving them away.
